Missouri Court of Appeals' Western District Upholds $8M Jury Verdict on Appeal      

An appellate panel, agreeing that one of the nation's largest insurance companies acted with malice, affirmed a trial court's $8 million punitive damage verdict. In the unanimous decision handed down Tuesday, the Missouri Court of Appeals' Western District ruled there was ample evidence showing that State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. wrongly prosecuted a former policyholder and her boyfriend's brother.
